Board of Education Meeting/Budget Workshop – April 15

The next Board of Education meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 15 at 7:00 p.m. in the Central Administration Conference Room. The meeting will include an update to the proposed school budget. The public may attend the meeting in person or watch the live stream.

Mark Monthie ’22 Places 3rd at NYS SkillsUSA Competition

Columbia High School senior Mark Monthie ’22 placed third in the Heavy Equipment event at the NYS SkillsUSA competition on Thursday at the Empire Expo Center in Syracuse. The statewide competition tests students in job-related events which are judged by industry professionals.

Mr. Monthie, who is enrolled in career and technical education at the Rensselaer Educational Center through Questar III BOCES, qualified for the state competition by winning his regional event in March.
