Capital Project

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a $116 million capital project that, if approved by voters, would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools at no additional cost to the local taxpayer. The proposed capital project will be a proposition on the School Budget Vote and Board Election ballot scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Update
Wednesday, June 1 – 5:25 p.m.

The water issue has been resolved at Donald P. Sutherland Elementary School. Therefore, school will be open on Thursday, June 2.

Original Post
Wednesday, June 1 – 12:09 p.m.

Donald P. Sutherland Elementary School will be dismissed today at 1:15 p.m. due to low water pressure in the school. Students will be transported by school bus to their emergency dismissal locations unless they are picked up from school by their parents by 1:00 p.m.

GCC will be closed at DPS today.

The low water pressure may be related to a water main break that occurred in Nassau over the weekend. Crews are responding to the issue, but at this point, the water pressure is so low at school that toilets cannot flush.

Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
