The Columbia High School Social Studies Department and Rho Kappa posted a virtual Multicultural & Tolerance Fair presentation earlier today. The theme of this year’s virtual event is titled “Share My Story” and features students who created videos celebrating food, music and culture from different countries around the world.
“Despite the pandemic, students felt it was important to continue celebrating multiculturalism and promoting tolerance at Columbia High School,” said Wendy McAlonie, Chair of the Columbia Social Studies Department. “In our increasingly polarized society, teaching students about the unique cultures that make up our school community will hopefully also teach respect for one another. We are looking forward to bringing back an in-person event for spring 2023.”
