Board of Education Meeting/Budget Workshop – April 15

The next Board of Education meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 15 at 7:00 p.m. in the Central Administration Conference Room. The meeting will include an update to the proposed school budget. The public may attend the meeting in person or watch the live stream.

Genet Students Recognized for Earth Day Poster Contest

Genet 2nd grader Sahana Kuppireddy won 1st place in the Rensselaer County Earth Day Poster Contest.

Two Genet Elementary School students were honored for their participation in the Rensselaer County Earth Day Poster Contest last week. Genet 2nd grader Sahana Kuppireddy won 1st place and 1st grader Anvi Sirirangam placed 2nd in the county-wide contest. Their artwork showed different ways of energy conservation and taking care of the planet.

Genet 1st grader Anvi Sirirangam receives a runner-up prize in the Rensselaer County Earth Day Poster Contest.

The students received prizes from Rensselaer County Chairwoman Kelly Hoffman and her District 2 colleagues Rob Bayly, Leon Fiacco and Tom Grant.
