Green Meadow 5th grade teacher Sue Schreck addresses students and parents at the 5th Grade Moving Up Ceremony.
Green Meadow fifth graders received graduation certificates at their Moving Up Ceremony on Thursday morning in the school gym, signifying the end of elementary school and their next journey at Howard L. Goff Middle School in the fall. The event included speeches from Principal Daniel Garab and the fifth grade teachers, as well as musical performances and a photo slideshow.
“A celebration such as this is bitter-sweet,” said Principal Garab. “It’s a turning point not only in the students’ lives, but in the parents as well. Your child will have spent more time at Green Meadow during their public school career than any other school in the district. It’s difficult to say good-bye, yet the future is so exciting.”
Congratulations to the graduates!
