The School Safety Community Forum has ended. A recorded version of the video will be posted on the district website Thursday, October 20.
The East Greenbush Central School District will be hosting a School Safety Community Forum on Wednesday, October 19 at 6:30 p.m. The purpose of the forum, which will be held virtually, is to inform parents and members of the community about important school safety topics.
School administrators will be joined by the Columbia and Goff School Resource Officers, Questar III BOCES Health and Safety team, and local law enforcement.
“With the support and assistance from our partners in law enforcement, we hope this forum provides our families with valuable information regarding our school safety protocols,” said Superintendent of Schools Jeff Simons. “We also want to empower caregivers so they can remain vigilant partners in our overall efforts to keep students, staff and school visitors safe.”
Community Forum Topics:
- School safety procedures
- Role of School Resource Officers
- Collaboration with local law enforcement and emergency services
- Use of infrastructure and technology to enhance safety
- Incident reporting
- Tips for parents/caregivers
Following the presentation, viewers will be able to ask questions during a Q&A.
