The Columbia Girls’ Soccer team defeated Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake 1-0 on Friday evening in the Section II Class A Final at Stillwater to win its first ever sectional championship. Sophomore Kennedy Ring scored the lone goal on a free kick in the second half.
Columbia improved its record this season to 16-1-1. They advance to the New York State Public High School Athletic Association regional on Saturday, November 5 when they will face the winner of New Hartford/Massena at Mechanicville High School at 2:00 p.m.
