During October, the East Greenbush Teachers Association was hard at work to support the local community and raise awareness for both Breast Cancer and Domestic Violence.
On October 16, the EGTA walked at the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer in Washington Park, raising $576 for the American Cancer Society.
On October 24, EGTA members decorated hallways with purple to raise awareness for domestic violence. They wore purple, purchased purple ribbons and decorated their learning areas with purple. Through various fundraisers, the EGTA donated $604.08 to 2 Harts One Soul Inc.
