Genet Student Council held their first Soctober last month in which they collected new pairs of socks for the homeless. Student Council set a challenge of 100 pairs of socks, and the Genet community responded.

More than 1,000 pairs of new socks were received as part of Soctober. The new socks have been donated to St. Paul’s Center in Rensselaer County and the Rensselaer Street Soldiers to help those in need.

“The generosity of the Genet community has been overwhelming,” said Student Council Advisor Joan Davis.
