Bell Top Family Reading Night performance

Bell Top staff give a readers theater performance of the Jan Brett classic “The Mitten” at Bell Top Family Reading Night.

Bell Top Elementary School families and staff had “snow” much fun as they celebrated their traditional Family Reading Night on December 6. Pajama-clad students and their families arrived at Bell Top and were welcomed with a cup of “snowman soup” courtesy of the Bell Top PTO. The Bell Top Staff brought the laughs to a standing room only audience during a readers theater performance of the Jan Brett classic, “The Mitten.”

Families followed the snowflakes to classrooms and the cafeteria where staff members hosted special crafts, STEM activities and cozy read-alouds of treasured picture books. Families were also invited to visit the Scholastic Book Fair where PTO volunteers helped guests browse and shop for books.

With a record breaking turnout, families and staff felt the love of literacy in the air!
