Columbia High School celebrated World Language Month in March with special displays and events.
The school lobby was decorated with various flags, posters and collectibles reflecting various languages and cultures. The morning announcements were spoken in French, German, Spanish, Bengali and Pashto during the first week of March.
The French 4 students played Francophone trivia, illustrated French proverbs and shared authentic French culinary dishes such as ratatouille, pommes de terre fondantes and au gratin, crêpes, salade niçoise, gougères, beignets, macarons, clafoutis and mousse au chocolat with their classmates! Each student then received a French recipe book titled “Bon Appétit!”
