Goff Intro to CTE students tour the Town Center Project job site in East Greenbush with Martin Electric contractors.
Eighth grade students in Intro to CTE – Home & Careers Skills classes have been learning about potential careers the last few weeks through in-person field trips to local businesses. The students toured facilities, met employees, learned what each of the organizations do and practiced their elevator speeches.
The businesses included:
- Curtis Lumber
- Martin Electric
- Mirabito Energy Products
- New York State School Boards Association
- Spectrum Communications
Following the visits, students wrote thank you notes to express their gratitude.
“Thank you so much for showing us around Martin Electric and the job site,” Goff student Megan Baumeister wrote to Martin Electric President Kendra Hart. “I had a great time and I feel that I gained a lot of knowledge from this trip.”
