Students playing a card game at Parents Night Out in the Columbia High School cafeteria.

More than 100 elementary students enjoyed an evening of games, sports and arts and crafts at a Parents Night Out event on Saturday at Columbia High School. Volunteers from Columbia’s Senior Class watched the children while their parents were able to have a kid-free night.

The children were able to choose from playing games in the gym, doing arts and crafts projects, playing board games, or participating in science experiments put on by Columbia’s Science Honor Society. Everyone enjoyed pizza for dinner and then ended the night in the auditorium watching the movie “Rookie of the Year.”

Special thanks to the members of the senior class who volunteered, the parent/teacher volunteers and Class Advisors Scott Monuteaux, Stefani Monuteaux and Gretchen Schulz!
