Meet the Candidates Night – Wednesday, May 13

Residents will have the opportunity to meet the four Board of Education candidates on Wednesday, May 13 at 7:00 p.m. in the Howard L. Goff Middle School cafeteria for Meet the Candidates Night. There are three open seats in this year’s election, which is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19. Each of the four candidates will discuss their qualifications and answer questions. The event will be hosted by the League of Women Voters.

Tug of War at Bell Top Field Day

Bell Top’s annual Field Day is scheduled for Tuesday, May 21 at the field behind school. All parents and friends are welcome to attend this fun event. You do NOT need to sign in; please go directly to the outside field.

Field Day Schedule:

  • Kindergarten/1st Grade/2nd Grade – 9:15-11:00 a.m.
  • 3rd/4th/5th Grades – 1:20-3:00 p.m.

Field Day Events:

Each class will be split up into 3 teams (red, white, and blue) and will rotate through 8 stations to compete against the other teams in their class. Please remind your child to wear their specified color for Field Day! The 8 stations are:

  • Over/Under
  • The Floor is Lava
  • Running Tic Tac Toe
  • Bucket Stacking
  • Tug of War
  • Stilt Race
  • Spoon Relay Race
  • Cornhole

Parent Pickup:

Students in 3rd-5th grade can be signed out at the end of Field Day. Please let their teacher know with a written note or email prior to the start of Field Day. 3rd-5th grade teachers will have a sign-out sheet at Field Day that will need to be signed.

Parking:

The rear parking lot is reserved that day for temporary Budget Voting ONLY. Field Day visitors must park in the main parking lot or on surrounding streets. Thank you!
