Residents will have the opportunity to meet the Board of Education candidates on Wednesday, May 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the Howard L. Goff Middle School cafeteria for Meet the Candidates Night. There are five candidates for four open seats in this year’s election, which is scheduled for Tuesday, May 20.
Columbia High School sophomore Ava Weiss ’26 won a state championship in the 400m hurdles at the NYSPHSAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday at Cicero-North Syracuse High School in Syracuse. She followed that by winning a Federation Championship in the 400m hurdles on Saturday, and lowering her own school record time to 60.63.
