Children’s book author Dave Lagarce visited Donald P. Sutherland Elementary School on June 4 to visit with students and read from his book “Little Luca” as part of the One School, One Book program. Mr. Lagarce was joined by his mother in law and former DPS teacher Linda Staszowski, who retired in 2022.
All of the students gathered in the school gym and listened to a reading of the book. Then Mr. Lagarce signed books for students. The message that Mr. Lagarce delivered to students was to always be kind to others.
Each classroom and the library received a copy of “Little Luca.”
