Howard L. Goff Middle School has begun planning for the 8th grade class trip to Washington, D.C. The trip is scheduled for May 7-9, 2025 and includes tours of Capitol Hill, the Supreme Court, Library of Congress, Ford’s Theater, National Archives, Holocaust Museum, Natural History Museum, Smithsonian Museum, Arlington National Cemetery and monuments at the National Mall.
Cost/Fundraising
The cost of the trip for each student is $525.00. Fundraising opportunities to help defray the cost of the trip include:
- Our Annual Pancake Breakfast where students have the opportunity earn money by selling tickets to the event and also working the event (waiter, busser, etc.)
- We will be offering a Hoffman’s Car Wash Helping Hands fundraiser in December which has been very successful in the past in helping students earn money toward their trip
- And we will be offering local businesses and community members the opportunity to sponsor a student and donate where they will have their name added to the back of our t-shirts that will be worn on the trip to Washington, D.C.

Wednesday, May 7, 2025
- 5:30am Buses depart Goff
- 9:15am 20-minute rest stop in New Jersey
- 12:00pm Eat bagged lunch
- 1:30pm Capitol Hill Tour/Supreme Court/Library of Congress, etc.
- 6:00pm Meet buses and depart for Fashion Mall Center
- 6:30pm Dinner and shopping at the Fashion Mall Center
- 8:00pm Meet tour buses and depart for hotel
- 8:30pm Arrive at hotel
- 10:00pm Lights out

- 9:00am Day tours of Washington

How to Register for the Trip
Parents/guardians should address an envelope with their child’s name (please print) and “Washington Trip.” In the envelope, please enclose the following (please do not staple together):
- Completed registration form (last pages of the 8th Grade Class Trip Packet)
- $100.00 deposit – checks made payable to “Goff Student Activities”
Registration forms and deposit are due by December 6, 2024.
