2024 Columbia Girls Soccer Regional ChampionsThe Columbia Girls’ Varsity Soccer team won a NYS Regional Championship on Saturday, defeating East Syracuse Minoa 3-1 at Nottingham High School in Syracuse. Megan Baumeister scored two goals for Columbia and Stella Seibert added a third goal late in the second half to secure the victory.

“I am happy for the grit and determination the girls showed throughout the game,” said Columbia Head Coach Scott LaMora. “They continued to work hard as a team and fight to secure the win. These girls have a never give up attitude and continue to persevere throughout the game.”

The Blue Devils (18-0-2) advance to the NYS Final Four next weekend in Cortland. They will face Vestal High School in the state semifinals on Saturday, November 16 at 2:30 p.m. at Tompkins Cortland Community College. If Columbia wins, they advance to the NYS Championship which is scheduled for Sunday, November 17 at 2:30 p.m. at SUNY Cortland.
