Teachers and students clearing the lawns of local veterans on Veterans Day.
The East Greenbush Teachers Association (EGTA) led its 8th annual Veterans Day Lawn Cleanup on Monday, clearing more than 20 lawns of leaves, sticks and other debris for local veterans. The group of 75 volunteers included East Greenbush CSD teachers, students, scouts, and Town of East Greenbush employees.
“This event gets bigger each year and the EGTA is happy to help out those who sacrificed their time and lives to our country,” said Dan Wagner, EGTA Secondary Vice President and a Columbia Social Studies teacher.
