The Columbia Science Olympiad team won medals in eight events and placed 5th overall at the Mount Academy Invitational this past weekend. The event featured 23 different STEM events and hosted 29 teams from Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania.
“The tournament held at Mount Academy in Esopus, New York was a great event featuring top teams from around New York State,” said Columbia Science Olympiad Head Coach Jeffrey Amos. “The team won eight medals, our most so far of any tournament this year. The students have shown improvement at every tournament, and are well positioned to take home a trophy at the Regional Championships on February 1st.”
