The Columbia High School Boys’ Bowling Team won the Section 2 Class A Championship on Monday at Boulevard Bowl, finishing in first place out of eighteen teams. For the second year in a row, this team has captured the Section 2 Class A Championship and will compete at the State Championships on March 14th in Syracuse, NY.
The team compiled a total pinfall of 6,256, finishing 188 pins ahead of second place Colonie. Leading the way for Columbia in their six game series’ were Brian Bigness (1,294) and Landon Szczepkowski (1,286). Szczepkowski was tied for second in High Game with a score of 267. Both Brian Bigness and Landon Szczepkowski will represent Section 2 on the composite team on March 15th.
