In anticipation of extreme heat this week and its impact on health and safety in schools, the East Greenbush Central School District will have half days for grades PK-8 on Monday, June 23 and Tuesday, June 24. The current weather forecast shows temperatures in the mid-90s and a heat index reaching 105 degrees.
The Columbia Mathematics Department is sponsoring a Pi Can Challenge Food Drive through Thursday, March 13. Donations of canned goods and non-perishable items will support the district backpack program and/or a local food pantry.
Contributions can be given to any mathematics teacher in grades 9-12.
