Budget Workshop - April 22

The East Greenbush CSD is hosting Budget Workshop #4 at the public Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, April 22 at 7:00 p.m. in the Goff Middle School cafeteria. All residents are invited to attend and learn more about the proposed school budget for next year.

CHS math students at Pi Day contest

Columbia students competed in the annual Pi Day recitation contest this week (L to R): Ellie Keenholts, Mia Garzone, Holly Thorpe, Lydia Hall, Pierce Dalton.

Teachers and students celebrated mathematics this week with special activities, contests and a food drive, all in honor of Pi, which is recognized each year on March 14.

Winners from Columbia High School’s Pi Day Recitation Contest

  • 1st Place – Lydia Hall ’28 – 243 digits
    ($20 gift card to Amazon, gum, pi pencil, and Table Talk pie)
  • 2nd Place – Holly Thorpe ’26 – 115
    ($10 gift card to Starbucks, gum, pi pencil, and Table Talk pie)
  • 3rd Place – Pierce Dalton ’25 – 61
    ($10 gift card to Dunkin’, gum, pi pencil, and Table Talk pie)

Pi Day Food Drive
The Math Department teachers at Columbia collected canned goods and non-perishables to benefit the district backpack program and/or a local food pantry.
