The Goff 6th Grade Band performing at the District-wide Instrumental Festival on Tuesday, March 18 at Columbia High School.
Fourth and fifth graders from across the East Greenbush Central School District gathered in the Columbia High School auditorium on Monday and Tuesday this week to watch middle school and high school students perform at the 2025 Instrumental Festival. The two-day concert is meant to showcase musical options for students.
The Goff and Columbia musicians performed a variety of songs including a Wicked medley to conclude the concert.
In addition to the performances on stage, music teachers Scott Halliday and Susan Chrzan talked about each of the instruments and had individual high school students play samples of songs for the audience.
Special thanks to our orchestra and band teachers Mr. Halliday, Mr. Kusche, Mrs. Upson, Mrs. Chrzan, Mr. Bresnahan and Mr. Lawrence, our teachers and staff in attendance, and our school bus drivers who transported students to the high school auditorium!
