Visit our Facebook page to see inside the classroom of Donald P. Sutherland Art Teacher Dianne Chalavoutis. On Friday, 5th-grade students in Mrs. Chalavoutis’ art class painted their Pinch Pot Monsters, which they previously made from clay. Using watercolor, they added watercolors to paint the clay adding textures and layers.

Students also painted flowers for a school-wide Autism Awareness Bulletin Board, which will be displayed throughout April for Autism Awareness month. Each grade level will paint their flowers using a golf balls to create a marbling effect. Each grade will use a different color creating a colorful display.
