Budget Workshop - April 22

The East Greenbush CSD is hosting Budget Workshop #4 at the public Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, April 22 at 7:00 p.m. in the Goff Middle School cafeteria. All residents are invited to attend and learn more about the proposed school budget for next year.

Residents who live in the East Greenbush Central School District are invited to file petitions to be a Board of Education candidate in the upcoming election on Tuesday, May 20. There are four open seats up for election this year. The individuals with the top three highest vote totals will earn three-year terms (July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2028) and the individual with the fourth highest vote total will finish the remaining year of Mark Mann’s term (July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026).

Board of Education candidates must be 18 years of age or older, a U.S. citizen and a resident of the school district for a continuous and uninterrupted period of at least one year prior to the election.

If interested, you may file a petition with the District Clerk by April 21 at 5:00 p.m. The petition must include at least 35 signatures from qualified district voters, meaning they must be 18 years of age or older, a U.S. citizen and a resident for at least 30 days.

About the Board of Education
The Board of Education is comprised of nine volunteer members from the community who are elected by school district voters. The Board establishes policy and sets the direction for the administration of the school district. Public meetings are held twice monthly.
