5th grade students at DPS operate land drones.
Staff and student volunteers from UAlbany’s College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security, and Cybersecurity (CEHC) Makerspace and Drone Lab brought hands-on drone technology to DPS for 4th and 5th graders. Students had the opportunity to operate both air and land drones with help from the UAlbany students. CEHC programs ‘Maker Space on the Move’ and ‘Drones/Robotics on the Road’ aims to give elementary students access to drones and coding technology.
