Visit our Facebook page to see inside the classroom of Red Mill Kindergarten Teacher Nancy Dunne. In a lesson led by English as a New Language Teacher Rene Kanzler on Wednesday, students learned about Eid by watching a video and reading a story together.

After the lesson, students were invited to have henna, a temporary artwork that is part of cultural traditions such as the celebration of Eid, applied to their hands by parent Rabia Nusrat and Mrs. Dunne. Some students chose designs from stencils and others chose to have their names written on their hands.

Students also tried chicken and potato samosa while they sat at their desks and drew their own henna artwork on pieces of paper.
