The Columbia Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse team won a regional championship on Saturday, defeating Watertown 16-13 at Queensbury. The Blue Devils used a balanced offense of eight goal scorers, led by Kaitlin Bogucki who had four goals.

“We have been fortunate to make it this far,” Bogucki told the Times Union after the win. “The first time we are going to (the final four, it) is unbelievable.”

Columbia (12-6) advances to the NYSPHSAA Class B Final Four where they will play Victor High School on Friday, June 13 at 2:00 p.m. at SUNY Cortland.
