A student dressed as Neil Armstrong at the Genet Wax Museum
Genet Elementary School hosted its annual Historic Figures Wax Museum on June 20 as 4th grade students portrayed famous people such as Neil Armstrong, Albert Einstein, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Florence Nightingale and Paul Revere.

Nearly 80 students participated in the event, which was the culmination of their research projects.

Each student chose a person to research, they made a poster board and then dressed as the person for the event and shared what they had learned with students, staff and families in attendance.

“Our fourth grade students put in an incredible amount of effort preparing for our Historic Figures Wax Museum!” said 4th Grade Teacher Jenna Turnbull. “From researching famous individuals, to writing biographies, memorizing speeches, and creating thoughtful costumes and displays, each student brought their chosen figure to life with enthusiasm and creativity. Their dedication and hard work truly shined through. We are so proud of their commitment and the impressive results of their hard work!”

Special thanks to the 4th grade team – Liz Corey, Joan Davis, Andy Sweet, Jenna Turnbull and Sarah Yakel – and the maintenance staff for making this event possible!
