2025 Green Meadow Moving Up Ceremony
Green Meadow Elementary School sent its students off in style at the 5th Grade Moving Up Ceremony on Thursday morning. The 5th graders walked across the stage to accept certificates, they sang a song under the direction of Music Teacher Lorrie LaVoie, and they performed a choreographed class dance.

Principal Dan Garab, Superintendent Jeff Simons and each of the 5th grade teachers – Diane Cohen, Michelle Ecker and Sue Schreck – all gave speeches.

“You are ready for the next exciting stage of your educational career,” said Mr. Garab. “I encourage you to work hard, make good choices, be responsible, and most importantly, have fun! Never forget your years at Green Meadow and the fond memories you have made here. You will all be deeply missed. And finally, remember this: It’s All in the Attitude!”

During an especially heartwarming moment, the kindergarten classes came into the gym and as they walked behind a tall display decorated as a time machine, the 5th graders walked out from behind it. It illustrated how much the 5th grade class had really grown during their time at Green Meadow Elementary School.

The 5th graders will attend Howard L. Goff Middle School in the fall.

Congratulations!
