For the second year in a row, the Columbia Girls’ Athletic Program earned 4th place in the New York State Sportswriters Association Kerr Cup for Class AA.

The New York State Sportswriters Association ranks athletic programs statewide based on results from NYSPHSAA championships. Last season, five of Columbia’s Girls’ Athletic Programs won sectional titles, two teams were state semifinalists and one team played in the state championship game.

“It is very exciting for our Girls’ Athletic Programs to be recognized for the second year in a row in the Kerr Cup Standings that are compiled by the New York State Sports Writers Association,” said Columbia Athletic Director Ryan Jones. “It is an exceptional accomplishment to achieve this recognition and finish in the top 5 for all Class AA Schools across New York State. Congratulations to all the student athletes, coaches and support staff for all their successes this year in earning this prestigious honor.”
