Columbia’s Senior Class is sponsoring a bus trip to New York City on Saturday, November 15, 2025, that includes the option to see the Broadway performance of “Ragtime.” The trip is open to students, families, staff and friends in the East Greenbush school community.

Musical Option: We are excited to offer the opportunity to purchase tickets to see Ragtime at 2:00 PM at the Lincoln Center Theater-Vivian Beaumont, located at 150 West 65th Street. Set in the early 1900s, Ragtime follows three families – an African American pianist, a Jewish immigrant, and an upper-class white mother – as their lives collide in a rapidly changing America. Blending unforgettable characters with a soaring, Tony-winning score, Ragtime explores themes of hope, injustice, and the American dream. Don’t miss this stirring, timely story that celebrates resilience and redefines what it means to belong.
Cost:
- $65 per person (transportation only)
- $75 per person (ticket to Ragtime only)
- $135 per person (includes transportation and ticket to show)
Please be aware that all students will need adult supervision (21 years old or older) in NYC in order to go on the trip.
Itinerary:
- Depart from Columbia High School at 7:30 a.m. on Yankee Trails bus
- Arrive at Bryant Park (42nd and 5th) at approximately 10:30 a.m.
- Spend the day in NYC
- Depart from Bryant Park at 7:30 p.m.
- Arrive at Columbia High School at approximately 10:45p.m.
