With Native American music playing in the background and a crackling fire playing on the video board at the front of the classroom, students worked in groups and rotated through eight stations as they learned about Native American tribes from different regions. Students learned about their weather and geographic features, their food, their homes, their tools, and what made them unique.
Throughout the class, Mr. Yearsley walked around the room to check on groups and to answer questions.
Mr. Yearsley is teaching this two-day lesson to his five classes on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday, the groups will discuss what they learned.
