
Goff Middle School students toured Yankee Trails Headquarters as part of a career exploration field trip.
The 8th grade Introduction to CTE – Home and Career Skills career exploration field trips introduce students to careers through an onsite orientation. This work-world experience for the students is enhanced with classroom preparatory and follow-up activities.
This program allows students to learn about a normal day on the job. Students can explore how the skills learned in school relate to the workplace, creating a link between academics and careers. For employers, the experience offers both an introduction to the workforce of tomorrow and the opportunity to help students explore career options while sharing what it takes to achieve goals.
Students in Heather O’Keefe’s Home and Careers class toured Yankee Trails Headquarters on Wednesday morning where they had the opportunity to learn about all facets of the company. In small groups they met with President Steve Tobin, Director of Marketing Erin Duckett, and General Manager Jeff Adams. It was a rewarding experience for all!
