Speaker Stephen Hill, spoke to eight-grade students at Goff Middle School about his personal journey with addition and recovery.

On Friday, eighth-grade students attended an assembly with speaker Stephen Hill, a nationally recognized keynote speaker who shares his personal journey with addition and recovery. Mr. Hill is the founder of Speak Sobriety which promotes mental health awareness and substance abuse prevention by providing students with practical tools to lead a substance free life.

Students gathered in the gym to hear Mr. Hill’s presentation and were asked to fill out an anonymous questionnaire with any questions they wished to ask, which he later answered. Afterward, Mr. Hill joined students during lunch and made himself available in the afternoon to speak with anyone who wanted to discuss additional questions or concerns.
