The East Greenbush Central School District is saddened to share the news that retired teacher Patricia Balcom died on Monday at the age of 80 following a motor vehicle accident. Mrs. Balcom taught in the district from 1967 to 2000, first at Bell Top Elementary School and then at Green Meadow Elementary School.
Mrs. Balcom was a beloved member of the East Greenbush Central School District for many years, dedicating her career to educating and inspiring countless students. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Balcom family and all those whose lives she touched.

Service Arrangements
Viewing hours will be held on Sunday, November 16, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St., Nassau, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, Berkshire Humane Society, or the Animal Rescue League – Brewster Shelter in Patricia’s honor, reflecting her lifelong commitment to and love of all creatures, especially dogs.
