Teachers at the Goff Thanksgiving FeastHoward L. Goff Middle School hosted its annual Thanksgiving Feast on Thursday in the school gym. More than just a meal, the event brings together staff and students to celebrate the season of giving.

The menu included turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, corn, salad, rolls and a variety of desserts. The Thanksgiving Feast is hosted by the Goff Middle School Achievement Program (MAP) faculty and students with support from school staff, the Special Education program and Home & Careers classes.

The Goff Thanksgiving Feast was started more than 20 years ago and remains a beloved tradition.

“Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday,” said Goff Social Studies Teacher Tim Galvin who coordinates the annual event. “It is very meaningful to me to see so many of my colleagues enjoying a warm meal while sharing stories with their friends at a table; that’s what it is all about.”

Leftover food and other useable items were donated to the Capital City Mission in Albany.
