The Howard L. Goff Middle School Garden Club recently met and made pumpkin pies for the Thanksgiving holiday. Since it is too cold to go outside and garden, one of the club’s annual activities is to make pies which the students bring home to share with their families for the holiday.
Students used the kitchen in the Home and Careers classroom to make the homemade pumpkin pies.
“Students have a recipe to follow and they have to gather the ingredients and measure everything,” said Garden Club Advisor Kimberly DiGiorgi. “It’s always a nice activity and the kids love to bring home a homemade pie to share with their family.”
Happy Thanksgiving!
