Green Meadow Student Council volunteered at the CoNSERNS-U food pantry in Rensselaer on Tuesday morning. Students worked hard checking expiration dates on donated food items, sorting them by category, and stocking shelves while community members visited to pick up Thanksgiving food bags.
In total, students helped unload 1,400 donated items from the Green Meadow food drive. The CoNSERNS-U staff and volunteers were incredibly appreciative, sharing how much this support will help local families heading into Thanksgiving.
“We are so proud of our Student Council for their teamwork, enthusiasm, and commitment to giving back to their community,” said Student Council Co-Advisor Jaimee Kusche. “They look forward to returning in February for our annual SOUPer Bowl collection.”
