The spirit of the holiday season is shining brightly in the East Greenbush Central School District. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of school staff, families and the community, the Adopt-a-Family Program is providing gifts to 60 families including 166 children.
This annual community service project provides gifts to local families who are referred by social workers and school counselors.
“This remarkable achievement would not have been possible without the enthusiastic support of our entire community,” said Columbia Social Worker Audra Di Bacco, who coordinates the Adopt-a-Family Program. “Knowing that so many children and families will experience joy this holiday season is the greatest gift, and it is all thanks to your kind hearts.”
