I am a current member seeking reelection. I originally joined the school board because I believe in giving back and I’ve devoted my career and life to improving those systems that were designed to enhance society (child welfare, public education, protecting vulnerable populations). I work tirelessly to include all voices, make informed decisions and focusing on solutions. I think the board should reflect our community and I plan to be a fiscally aware and operationally efficient voice to continue to be the best district.

I am running for the East Greenbush School Board because I would like to give back to the community that has given so much to my family. I believe in transparent governance, fiscal responsibility, and ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed in a safe and supportive learning environment. My legal experience has given me a strong understanding of municipal operations, regulatory frameworks, and the importance of collaboration in public decision-making.

I look forward to bringing a balanced, thoughtful perspective to the board—rooted in both my professional experience and my long-standing commitment to this delightful community.

Education: PhD & M.A., Stony Brook University; BFA, The College of Saint Rose
Occupation: Associate Curator, University Art Museum, University at Albany

Our two children at Green Meadow Elementary have benefited immeasurably from our district’s dedicated teachers and staff. I want to give back by serving on the EGCSD Board of Education. A former professor at the College of Saint Rose, I taught countless aspiring teachers, served on committees developing academic policy, curriculum, and assessment, and co-chaired our department’s strategic planning committee. As a curator at UAlbany, I collaborate on public-facing projects, grant writing, and working with community partners on educational opportunities. I was the first in my family to attend college thanks to my supportive parents and public school teachers.
