On Tuesday morning, Kelly Giagni’s 3rd grade class worked in teams to read and perform rhythmic patterns using concepts from the Music Learning Theory curriculum, including familiar rhythm syllables and steady beat skills.

Each challenge encouraged students to think critically, listen carefully, and apply their understanding of rhythm in an engaging, game-based format with two teams, a football and a referee. The activity helped strengthen rhythm reading, cooperation, and musical confidence while bringing the excitement of the Super Bowl into the music room.
