Green Meadow Elementary School collected 2,604 canned goods as part of its annual Souper Bowl food drive earlier this month. On Friday, Student Council donated the items to the CoNSERNS-U food pantry in Rensselaer.
While there, the students volunteered their time organizing the donations for the food pantry.
The two students who brought in the most cans will be recognized as Principal for the Day – 5th grader Giovanni Brandow and 2nd grader Dominick Esposito.
