Columbia’s Senior Class is sponsoring a bus trip to New York City on Saturday, May 2, 2026, that includes the option to see “Beaches: A New Musical” at the Majestic Theatre. The trip is open to students, families, staff and friends in the East Greenbush school community.

Musical Option: We are excited to offer the opportunity to purchase tickets to see Beaches: A New Musical at 2:00 PM at the Majestic Theatre, located at 245 West 44th Street. A new musical based on the best-selling novel that was made into the blockbuster film Beaches (film starred Bette Midler), Beaches: A New Musical follows two extraordinary friends through 30 years of camaraderie, laughter, sorrow, and love. Vivacious, outlandlish Cee Cee (Jessica Vosk) and beautiful, privileged Bertie (Kelli Barrett) meet as children and become fast friends. From pen-pals to roommates to romantic rivals, Cee Cee and Bertie’s oil-and-water friendship perseveres through even the most tragic trials. With a touching vulnerability, Beaches: A New Musical exemplifies the triumph of the human spirit and the bonds of friendship.
Cost:
- $65 per person* (transportation only)
- $90 per person** (ticket to Beaches only)

Itinerary:
- Depart from Columbia High School at 7:30 am on a Yankee Trails bus
- Arrive at Bryant Park (42nd Street between 5th and 6th Avenues) at approximately 10:30 am
- Spend the day in NYC/Option to see Beaches at 2 pm
- Depart from Bryant Park at 7:30 pm
- Arrive at Columbia High School at approximately 10:45 pm
Please be aware that all students will need adult supervision (21 years old or older) in NYC in order to go on the trip.
