Three Columbia High School students – Aneira Bailey ’26, Kaylee Mercer ’26, and Sarah Rainville ’26 – competed in the 36th annual Regeneron Greater Capital Region Science and Engineering Fair on Saturday at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Each of the students presented their Science Research projects:
- Aneira Bailey – “The effects of various albedos and concentrated amounts of CO2 on the climate of the exoplanet TRAPPIST-1e compared to Earth”
- Kaylee Mercer – “The Impact of travel distance on low-birth rates in selected regions”
- Sarah Rainville – “Autonomous motivation, coach control, and the athlete-coach relationship correlated to disordered eating”
A special congratulations to Aneira for winning the “Taking the Pulse of the Planet Award” from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
