Goff’s Garden Club celebrated Earth Day this week by cleaning up the school grounds and planting new flowers at the sign in the front of the school. Garden Club Advisor Mrs. Kimberly DiGiorgi explained that students were responsible for gathering all the tools necessary for planting and had to clean out the area first, before planting colorful pansies.
“The mums from the Fall are still viable, so students learned that they can be replanted and they will regrow,” explained Mrs. DiGiorgi. “Students also learned the importance of cleaning up the areas where we live and go to school and to keep garbage where it belongs – Don’t litter!”
