Howard L. Goff Middle School teachers Lalena DeMarco, Shawn Yearsley and Mary Jo Madore received the NYS Senate Educators Inspiring a Generation Award.
Three teachers from Howard L. Goff Middle School received the 2026 Educators Inspiring a Generation Award on Monday morning from the New York State Senate.
- Lalena DeMarco – 7th Grade Special Education Teacher
- Mary Jo Madore – 7th Grade Math Teacher
- Shawn Yearsley – 7th Grade Social Studies Teacher
The certificates were awarded by Senator Jake Ashby who represents the East Greenbush Central School District in the state legislature.
The Educators Inspiring a Generation Award program identifies and honors the outstanding contributions of educators who go above and beyond in their commitment to student success, innovative teaching practices, and leadership in their educational communities.
