The following letter was sent to all families who Homeschool their children and live in the East Greenbush Central School District.

Dear East Greenbush Central School District Homeschool Families,

We hope this letter finds you and your family well.

At the East Greenbush Central School District, we are continually looking for ways to effectively serve our students and families. We are writing to share an important update regarding the administrative management of our homeschooling program.

Beginning July 1, 2026 the East Greenbush Central School District will transition the tracking, records, and administrative services for all homeschooled students back to our home district office for the 2026-2027 school year.

This change is designed to streamline our processes and offer more localized support for our families:

  • Direct Contact: Keeping your child’s records within our local office ensures you have a consistent point of contact should your family ever choose to transition back to the school setting.
  • Personalized Support: Bringing these services in-house allows us to provide direct, localized assistance with a dedicated contact right here in our district.

As we prepare for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, please submit any Letters of Intent (LOI) or Individualized Home Instruction Plans (IHIP) directly to the East Greenbush Central School District.

You may submit these documents by mail or email using the contact information below:

  • By Email: Michelle Durfee – DurfeeMi@egcsd.org
  • By Mail: District Office – Office of Curriculum and Instruction 29 Englewood Ave. East Greenbush, NY 12061

Thank you for your partnership in your child’s education.

Sincerely,
