A student looks at artwork on display at the 2026 Art Show at Columbia High School
The East Greenbush Central School District Art Department hosted the 2026 District-wide Art Show on Thursday evening at Columbia High School, providing a showcase of spectacular artwork from K-12 students.

The District-wide Art Show has become a beloved tradition in the East Greenbush CSD, highlighting the importance of arts education.

“Another fantastic District-wide Art Show is in the books and I could not be more proud of my dedicated and talented colleagues for inspiring our art students to work hard, try new things, and put their best efforts into their artmaking,” said Art Department Chair Andrea Neiman. “What a joy it is to catch Columbia students and staff alike, slowly walking the halls and taking in the artwork, on the days leading up to the show.

“Last night, the energy was truly palpable as excited students brought their families around to see their art pieces and meet their teachers,” she continued. “Thank you to all who came out to support the Art Program.”

The Art Show included hundreds of pieces of art including drawings, paintings, photographs, cartoons, ceramics, mixed media, board games, and video games.

Select pieces of middle school and high school 3D artwork remain on display at the East Greenbush Community Library throughout the month of May.

Special thanks to the district’s art teachers who organized the Art Show, the maintenance department, the Technology Department, Kristie LaRose, and the Columbia administration and security team for their support.
